Kept — Privacy
Last updated: 31 July 2026
Kept is a habit tracker for body, mind and soul, kept with a small circle of friends you choose. This page says plainly what we store, why, and what we never do.
What we store
Your account. Your email address, your display name, and a sign-in identifier from Apple or Google if you use them. That's how friends find you and how you get back in.
Your habits. Habit names, your daily check-ins, streaks, away days, and your reminder preferences.
What your circle sees. For habits you've chosen to share: their names, whether you kept them each day, and your ring completion. Friends are mutual — both people agreed. Habits you mark private never leave your device's sync scope; away-day reasons are never shown to anyone.
Messages. Encouragements you send and receive with friends, visible only to the two of you.
Push tokens. A device token so friends' encouragements and check-in nudges can reach your lock screen.
What we never do
No ads. No selling or sharing your data with anyone. No analytics trackers or advertising SDKs. No reading your messages for any purpose beyond delivering them. Nothing in Kept is used to profile you.
Where it lives
Data is stored with Supabase (our database and authentication provider) and protected by row-level security: the server itself enforces that only you — and the friends you accepted — can read what's yours. Push notifications are delivered through Apple's service.
Your controls
All in the app, no email required:
- Export everything — Settings → Your data → Export (JSON).
- Share less — every habit has its own sharing switch; missed-day visibility has its own toggle in You.
- Remove or block a friend — takes effect immediately.
- Delete your account and all data — Settings → Your data. This permanently erases your account, habits, history, connections and messages from our servers and your device.
